Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams Poster

UK Quad silk-screened Quad cinema poster for the American drama "Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams" (1973).

This poster presents the highly distinctive artwork by Peter Strausfield & was a bespoke poster created specially for the arts cinema, The Academy, in London. The print run for this poster would have been small. Strausfield was a German emigre who worked as the in-house poster designer for The Academy 1947-80. Strausfield's posters were based on woodcut or linocut designs & are characteristically stark but extremely effective.

Poster folded & rolled with a little damage to outer white rim but overall very good condition. An unusually bright & colourful Strausfield poster.
