Victim Of His Imagination Poster

Rare original Hammer Studios promo flyer (8 1/2"x 11") for the, ultimately un-made horror film, "Victim Of His Imagination" (1972).

Hammer had a roster of mooted film projects that never got made, this being one. A 29-page treatment by Don Houghton sketched a biopic of Bram Stoker, in which the author was troubled by nightmares & re-visited by the horror characters ("Dracula" etc) he created.

Hammer also established a routine of creating artwork which was used to support their search for production funding & in many cases this was used for promo flyers such as this example (we have several similar examples featured on the Chantrell website: https://www.chantrellposter.com/ - though clearly this "Victim Of His Imagination" flyer is not by Chantrell but by another unidentified artist. Apparently Michael Carreras was very taken with this particular film concept & tried to revive it in 1992 after the closure of Hammer Studios but again it never proceeded.

A fascinating piece of Hammer memorabilia that would look great framed (back office).
