A Town Like Alice Poster

UK Quad poster for "A Town Called Alice" (1956) starring Virginia McKenna & Peter Finch.

Although essentially a love story it is set against the backdrop of the brutality of the Japanese in WWII & was shot on location in Malaya, Australia ("Alice Springs") & at Pinewood Studios. The poster illustration is by the Italian artist Angelo Cesselon (he of "Reach For The Sky" fame) who delivers a poignant & beautiful image of Ms McKenna.

Poster folded with a few minor edge nicks top left rim & two closed tack holes to upper corners (no paper loss) but overall in excellent un-restored & original condition.
