Style-A & Style-B UK Quad cinema posters for the British spy-comedy "Hot Enough For June" (1964) both with artwork by Renato Fratini.

The film was blessed with a strong cast including Derek Fowlds, John Junkin, John Le Mesurier, Derek Nimmo, Frank Finlay etc.

Both Quads feature some typically classy Fratini illustration (Fratini playfully referencing his poster for "From Russia With Love" - see image attached). Both Quads focuse on the two leads (Dirk Bogarde & Sylva Koscina) & both carry the same title font with the dramatic blood-red exclamation mark but thereafter the two designs are very different. It is interesting speculate why two different posters were commissioned? Some of the very largest cinema venues would perhaps have had room & demand for more than one poster design but this hardly seems justification enough for the profusion of Style-A & Style-B posters that were produced. Two industry insiders have independently advanced the view that the reason for two Quad styles was that one poster was designed primarily for the more cosmopolitan city venues & the other for less sophisticated venues & regions! It sounds implausible but in the absence of a proven alternative explanation, this seems to be the case.
