Some Like It Hot Poster

A Norwegian poster (23 1/4"x 33 1/2") for the classic Billy Wilder comedy "Some Like It Hot" (1959), starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon & Marilyn Monroe.

This is definitely a poster that cartches the eye. Although the impressions of Curtis & Lemmon are OK, the image of Marilyn Monroe is more akin to something from a horror film. It is believed that this poster was "withdrawn" (hence the rarity) for being too revealing but we suggest it was more likely pulled because it actually makes Marilyn look more like a drag artist than the two male leads! A fascinating piece of Marilyn Monroe / comedy memorabilia.

Poster folded with a couple of light marks to lower border and a few tiny edge nicks but overall in good condition.
