The Godfather Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the iconic Mafia movie "The Godfather" (1972).

Subtle, understated but powerful imagery on this poster which exudes a sense of menace & power. The "puppet-master" title design was by the American artist Sadamitsu "Neil" Fujita. Nominated for eleven Oscars, "The Godfather" won Oscars for "Best Picture", "Best Actor" (Marlon Brando) and "Best Screenplay" (Francis Ford Coppola), the film being both a critical & commercial hit. Sequels followed in 1974 & 1990. For any fan of this film, the mini series "The Offer" (2022) is well worth watching, detailing the process by which Mario Puzo's book eventually made it to the "Big Screen".

Poster only tri-folded & will be sent rolled in a tube. There is some general creasing & tiny light mark to the upper right but unlike many examples of this poster, the white background remains in very nice clean condition (the image appears to show a slight "yellowing" in parts but this is not present). The poster would look fantastic if backed & would require no restoration. Overall in very good condition & with excellent display potential.
