The Man Within Poster

A rare early UK Quad for "The Man Within" (1947). The film was based on a Graham Greene novel and starred Michael Redgrave, Jean Kent and a young Richard Attenborough and was made in London at Gainsborough Studios.

The poster design is striking, presenting both traditional painted illustration and also some black silhouette type drawings to the bottom rim (these reminisecent of Peter Strausfield's later poster designs for the Academy cinema).

The poster has paper loss to lower left corner and various conservation tape repairs to the rim but still displays to good effect. This poster is genuinely scarce and we've never seen this title in 30 years of collecting/dealing before. An important piece of early British cinema history.
