Gone With The Wind Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the 20th century blockbuster "Gone With The Wind" (1939) this poster being the 1969 (30th anniversary) re-release with stunning artwork by Howard Terpning.

The poster carries a classic image of "Rhett" (Clark Gable) holding "Scarlett" (Vivien Leigh) with Atlanta burning orange in the background. The film was a massive hit on release & as paraded on the poster, scooped ten Oscars! A sticker to the reverse indicates the poster was gifted to someone from the projectionist at the Classic Sheffield cinema. Poster folded as issued with light foldline wear, a small conservation tape repair & a sticker/writing etc to the reverse as shown (does NOT show through). Overall in very good condition & displays to excellent effect. Poster priced in accordance with condition (at the time of listing the London gallery price for an example in excellent condition was £295 & another on Ebay was £600!).
