Ice Cold In Alex Poster

Rare UK Style-B linen-backed Quad cinema poster (30"x 40") for the WWII classic "Ice Cold in Alex" (1958), the film starring John Mills, Sylvia Syms & Anthony Quayle.

A poster that is rarely seen in the market (only the second one we've ever seen). This is an unusual & dramatic Quad, featuring a pivotal scene from the film when the escapees encounter quicksand & are forced to allay their suspicions of each other working as a team to survive. The imagery is surprisingly brutal (more akin to something from a horror movie) & perhaps this is why so few cinema managers bought this Quad in.

Poster linen-backed but with NO restoration. It still shows heavy foldline wear old (minimised) tape stains to rim etc but unlike so many linen-backed posters this has NOT been over-painted.
